Narayan lab member Attabey Rodriguez Benitez demonstrates the Blue Bottle Experiment — A colorless solution in a flask is shaken. It turns blue and then gradually back to colorless. The cycle can be repeated many times.
The experiment is part of her work with InnoWorks at Michigan, a group that encourages socioeconomically disadvantaged students to enter the fields of science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine by running a free, week-long summer science camp, planned and run entirely by undergraduate and graduate University of Michigan student volunteers.
