Support

LSI research is leading to better understandings and treatments for illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative disease. Our projects in streamlining drug discovery and in stem cell biology hold great promise for important breakthroughs in understanding and treating human health problems. These possibilities have inspired support from individuals, foundations and corporations. (See Donor Stories). We welcome and encourage you to become involved with the Institute as a donor.

Gifts from individuals and philanthropic and other support from foundations and corporations make a real difference in both the quality and quantity of research at the Institute. Private donations can be used to fund LSI scientists as they develop research projects not yet ready for conventional governmental funding - the best of which lead to discoveries that change the very direction of science. Philanthropic gifts from corporations and foundations also provide critical seed money for new research initiatives. There are opportunities for supporting students, laboratories, individual faculty members, efforts on certain diseases and special projects. (See Making a Gift.)
