Job Opportunities
The Garneau-Tsodikova lab is currently accepting new members. If you are interested in joining the group or if you would like more information about the current openings or research please send your CV (with 3 references) at sylviegt@umich.edu.
Postdoctoral Research Fellows:
Chemists: The lab is looking for individuals with extensive experimental knowledge of organic synthesis with experience in LCMS, HPLC, and common lab techniques. A postdoc in our lab will work on the chemoenzymatic formation of novel drugs analogs to known anticancer agents and antibiotics of nonribosomal peptide origin. Please forward you CV including list of publications and presentations and a paragraph or your research goals and accomplishments.
Biochemists: The lab is looking for individuals with extensive experimental knowledge of molecular biology, protein purification, and enzymology. A postdoc in our lab will work on the mechanism of novel transformation involved during nonribosomal peptide synthesis. Please forward you CV including list of publications and presentations and a paragraph or your research goals and accomplishments.
Graduate Students:
Chemists and Biochemists: The lab is looking for graduate students interested in chemistry and/or biochemistry. Our interdisciplinary work spans the fields of organic chemistry, enzymology, chemical biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and related disciplines. Eventhough members of the group have different scientific backgrounds, they all share a common goal: to make important contributions to science. If you are interested in the lab, just stop by Dr. Garneau-Tsodikova's office in the Life Sciences Institute or email (see link above).
Undergraduate Students:
Highly motivated undegraduate students are welcome to apply through UROP or for research credit to learn some of the techniques from the fields of chemistry and biochemistry by email (see link above).
