Seo received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Iowa State University, IA in 2006 under the direction of Professor George A. Kraus.

His current research interests include:

Design and synthesis of APS reductase inhibitors.

Design and synthesis of sulfite-reactive fluorescent probes.

Synthesis and validation of chemical tools to probe cysteine PTMs.
